Last minute DIY halloween decor ideas

Ok we're all busy and this year I opted for the quick-easy-cheap version of everything for my house... So here's what I've got...

I'm reusing last year's painted boxes to look like grave stones, and I'm reusing last year's skeleton i bought and breaking it up into pieces to use around the yard.
I also decided to use bubble wrap to create a walkway (as quickly as possible! so it's not my best work but you get the idea :)), then covered it with black plastic bags and duct taped it down so noone trips.... I used $1 store duct tape but you can go to Michaels and buy duct tape in just about every color and design you like or use another strong tape. (just make sure you don't step on it during set up) Large bubble wrap works best.
Last I took a few black bags and cut them into strips and just tied them around the yard off the mailbox, trees, and the fence. If you don't cut it all the way to the top you can also tape that around the entry ways for the kids to walk under.
Oh and don't forget the orange light bulb!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

How to become a follower

Hi everyone,

It seems many are having problems following my blog so I did some investigation and this method seems to work. You can follow by email by entering your email address in the box that appears under my profile OR to just follow you can log into your Gmail account (this can be done either through Gmail's site, Google, or the 'Sign in' on the top right corner of my blog) and then come back to my page and you'll see a FOLLOW button on the top LEFT next to the search box and you can become a follower by picking a name, and deciding whether you'd like to follow publicly (your nickname will appear in my followers) or privately (no one can see you not even me!). If you don't mind I'd love to see who's following me so please pick 'public', if you'd prefer to stay anonymous I completely understand and appreciate you all following! :)

Rainbows on the wall

This line of wall art is done by melting crayons on canvas. You may special order and pick your own canvas size, colors as well as their pattern if you like. Pick whether you like the crayon wrappings left on or taken off. The melted crayons do run along sides, top and bottom edges so framing would be best in order to protect your walls or I can put a clear coat on them to help reduce the chances of getting crayon on your walls but I can not guarantee that.

Here are two I have ready for sale.

Rainbow in Blues, greens, gold, yellows, oranges, reds, pinks, and purples 30"x15", canvas sides are left white and the entire piece has a clear protective spray coat
 $85

Halloween Decor

Here are some things I made last year for Halloween......

Use your old boxes to make headstones. Paint them black and write names on them and place them around your front yard or house. Takes just 5-10 mins to paint. You can also use black wrapping paper.

Use white trash bags to make ghosts. Just stuff the heads with newspaper or old fabric, tie the stuffing in place with string or a rubber band and draw a face on them with marker or paint.

This one we made because my mom had a Scream t-shirt, so we used it as a pillow case on a small pillow so the head would look stuffed and tied it as tight as we could and used an old black sheet to create the body. I didn't attach them together, I just nailed/stapled them in to the wooden panel to look like one piece. Worked out great and the kids found it fun and spooky to have to walk under the sheet to get candy as it got darker.

Enjoy.
